I made my own granola this morning. It tastes really good. I mainly made it for the boys, while I try and reduce the amount of processed cereals they eat. I’d be meaning to have a go at this since I saw the lovely Laura over on @thehomelyhaven make some.

I kind of made up the recipe but it went something like this:

2 1/2 cups of oats

1 cup hazelnuts (some chopped, some not)

1/2 cup walnuts

1/4 cup of sunflower seeds

Some chocolate chips (didn’t measure)

1 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup coconut oil melted

1 drop YL cinnamon bark oil

1 tsp vanilla extract

Mix it all together apart from the chocolate chips and bake on 150 for 40 mins. Leave to cool then add in the chocolate and pop into a big jar. The kids will have this with chocolate oat milk. But it’s also an idea for them to grab a handful instead of a biscuit.
